Greetings,

We have been having a great time in Green Turtle!  The weather has turned hot and humid and the days are getting longer.  We have been working on the cap rail, coamings and anywhere there is vanish on Kluane.  We scrubbed the dinghy topsides, insides and bottoms.

For fun...We have shared a wonderful Mexican dinner with Sally, Jon, Kathy and Lana with Captain at the helm.  Yum, red chile.  We have been walking to town regularly- intervals, weight lifting, lunges and doing yoga.  We have also swam right off the beach to the ocean reefs... amazing photos compliments of Kathy!

We were very excited to met Kluane's previous owners, the LaFontaine's.  We were delighted to have them on board.  Captain took pages of notes as Yves detailed Kluane's history.  We found out she is truly a Bahamas boat, she spent winters in Man of War and Green Turtle.  Thank you LaFontaine's for taking such lovely care of our girl, we love her as much as you did!

We are enjoying the beauty of the island- flowers, birds, people and water!

We are both ready for a Duran's cheese enchilada dinner... Jeff and Connie, can't wait!

Give my love to Orbit!  Go Topes!

Throughout this trip, we have been asking every Canadian if they were the LaFontaine's.
One afternoon we came back to our boat and found s/v Velvet, Eileen and Yves- Kluane's old owners!

Hopetown, Abacos

The Pearl (Jennifer)

Hola!

In the past week we met 2 boats with New Mexican natives (s/v Island Spirt and s/v Mucho Gusto)- whoo hoo!  It's fun to find sailors from a landlocked state!

Thanks to Kathy for sharing her internet connection- I am nearly up to date!  Last week we were in Hopetown!  It was fun to reconnect with folks we met in December and walk the familiar beaches.  The water was warm and we swam right from the main beach to the coral reefs.

We are having fun in Green Turtle, we have snorkeled, walked, practiced our yoga and ate many delicious meals with friends.  Last night we made a yummy salad

Kathy and I are also enrolled in a sandal camp with Coach Cliff.  More on this soon.

Hope you are having a great Sunday!

Look close at the Canadian Flag.  Saw this boat in the Exumas.
Yah, Hockey!

Tonya on s/v Minx is an expert knitter.  Everytime I we saw Tonya she was knitting something beautiful for her nieces, a friend or herself!  Before we left the Abacos, she gave me this adorable knitted hat!  I love it, it is my favorite color.  Thank you Tonya, miss you!

Treasures, Cheeseburgers & Friends

The Pearl (Jennifer)

Ahoy Maties,

Last night and into early morning we experienced a lightening show from Mother Nature.  All is well, and Kluane deck's are clean!  We are enjoying Green Turtle. Today the supply ship came in with produce and dry goods- The Pearl and Kathy went into town and shopped, while the Buccaneer minded the boat.  The skies are clearing up and we are looking forward to a mild weather week ahead.  Good snorkeling!

Upon our exit from the Exumas, Buccaneer treated Kluane and crew to a few days at  the Highborne Cay Marnia.  It was nice to weather a storm from inside the marnia (hardly knew anything was happening weatherwise).  The Cay is beautiful- nice beaches, walking paths, roads to bike cruise and wonderful people.  We got know the crew on m/v Tortola and share a few meals!  We had a great time, and can't wait to see them again!

Here are some photographs of our time in Highborne!
